Festival of Lessons & Carols

Please join us at 4:00 pm on Sunday, December 14 as the Choir sings seasonal hymns and carols, interspersed with short readings, which tell the Christmas story.

A Christmas Carol

Mr. Charles Dickens is once again making his way across the ocean to read an abridged version of his beloved classic, A Christmas Carol, on Friday December 12th at 7:30 pm in Parish Hall.  Refreshments will be provided by the Wilkins Micawber Punch and Potation Union - to include steaming cups of punch for a winter’s night - made to a special recipe.  All are warmly invited!  Donations will benefit the Interfaith Nutrition Network – INN, serving homeless and hungry Long Islanders since 1983.

Due to the running of the Oyster Bay Triathlon this Sunday, August 28, there are significant changes to our worship scheduled to avoid parishioners getting turned away at various check points on their way to church Sunday morning.

  • We will add a 5:00 pm service on Saturday, August 27 (sermon, no music).
  • The 8:00 am service on Sunday is cancelled.  
  • There will only be one service on Sunday morning, starting at 10:30 am (sermon and music).  This service will be live-streamed.

Guidelines for In-Church Worship

Following Governor Cuomo's lifting of most of the Covid restrictions, the LI Episcopal Church issued new guidelines for worship.   To help you when you come to worship on Sunday mornings this is what you will find:

  • Worship services will be back to our normal schedule of Sunday mornings at 8:00 (said) and 10:00 am (with music).

  • Masks must be worn at all times and must cover both mouth


This Sunday, June 13 we will celebrate the Holy Eucharist at three services:  8:00 am, 10:00 am, and 12:00 pm.    

  

Due to COVID-19 protocols, we ask you to signup in advance for these services by clicking on the button below.   

Seating inside the Church is arranged at 6-foot distances, although it is fine for those who live in the same household to sit together. Masks are required to be worn at all times. Restroom access is for emergency use only. For those not attending in person, videos of these services will be available on our website and our Facebook page.

Our aim is to do two things at once: maintain people's capacity to connect with Christ Church online through worship videos, and offer the safest setting we can, in church, for those who wish to attend these simple services in person.

Due to the coronavirus Bishop Lawrence Provenzano has made the difficult decision to direct all Churches in the Long Island Diocese to cancel all services and all gatherings that use church facilities until July 1.  To view alerts from the Diocese, please go to their Emergency Diocesan COVID-19 website.


In addition, the Learning Tree and Day Break organizations are closed until further notice.  Alcoholics Anonymous meetings will be held by telephone conference call.  If you would like to join a 8:00 pm meeting on either Wednesday or Sunday nights, please call  1- 425-436-6345.  Access Code: 679 448.

Mr. Charles Dicken's reads "A Christmas Carol"

If you missed the Premiere showing of Mr. Charles Dickens's annual reading of his celebrated story, "A Christmas Carol," and would still like to see it - please click on the button below to connect to the video.
