On the Sunday nearest MLK Day each January, Christ Church joins with members of the Hood African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Zion Church, to celebrate the life of Martin Luther King, Jr.

The Church is filled with music of the combined choirs of Christ Church and AME Zion. Rev. Aldo Romo and La Iglesia Camino de Vida also make a musical offering. After the service, everyone enjoys a special luncheon in Parish Hall, hosted jointly by Hood AME Zion, Camino da Vida, and Christ Church.
