Youth Formation

Youth Formation is an important part of life at Christ Church, from Noah's Nursery (ages 3 and younger), to Sunday School (ages 4 to 11), to Youth Group (middle and high school). Our Director of Youth Formation, Kathyrn Cantanno, is assisted by volunteer Sunday School teachers and by the Rector in helping our young people grow in the love and knowledge of God.

A wide range of activities are undertaken by our youth, including service as acolytes, singing in the Treble Choir, evenings of fun and celebration, occasional special worship events, and opportunities for service in the community.  Those who wish to affirm their faith formally and be confirmed by the Bishop are prepared for this Sacrament in a series of classes led by Father Piret, in alternate years.

Children are not only the future of the church.  They ARE the church, here and now!

Youth Traditions

  • Service Awards

The youth of Christ Christ are an inspiring group, who look to serve their community in various ways.  A number of our youth are local Boy and Girl Scouts.  Some have completed Eagle Scout and Silver Award projects in our Community Garden; others have undertaken redecorating and repairs for our Church School, including the creation of a cozy corner/activity room for the Nursery School, and the renovation of the Godly Play Room.
